No More Russian Slots in Moscow?

Russian people face another gambling issue during the last year as Moscow's city Mayor Yuri Luzhkov demanded from the city government to dispose of 90% of all the slots. The Russian slots are tremendously well-liked among Muscovites from all sectors, regardless of age.

Though the Mayor is serious in his demand the Russian people do not take his goal seriously as slots are a common pastime activity that harms non due to strict regulations imposed by the Russian Government. The city mayor plans to fight the use of slots and their distributors. Valery Zhukov, second-in-command head of the subdivision for Moscow's economic guiding principle, said the monthly levy rate for slots would be doubled, from $131 to $262, and the rate for other types of gambling would boost from $3,498 to $4,373 per unit. But experts and Russian advisories from Moscow tell that such efforts would bear no results since slots are so popular.
